Acceptance of applications for participation in the International Media Award «Newsky Award» continues
The acceptance of applications for participation in the international media award «Newsky Award» continues. Professional and young journalists, as well as authors of blogs on social networks, can apply on the official website of newskyaward.org until November 10, 2023 inclusive.
Authorial works of journalists published in print media, broadcast on TV and radio, or on the Internet from January 1, 2023 to November 1, 2023 are allowed to participate in the Award.
The main goal of the Newsky Award is to identify talented journalists and authors of the best materials and encourage their merits in covering foreign policy issues and interregional harmony, cultural and spiritual values, as well as charitable and social activities that contribute to the development of Kazakhstan and the world community.
The award is given in six categories:
- «The Best Material on Foreign Policy and Cross-regional Dialogue“
- «The Best Material on Interfaith Harmony and Multicultural Relations“
- «The Best Material on Philanthropy, Business Social Responsibility“
- «The best material on spirituality». Special nomination
- Special nomination “Best young journalist” 2023
- Special nomination “Best blog author in social media” 2023
One of the distinguishing features of the «Newsky Award» is that nominees from all over the world can take part in it. In addition, this year special nominations have been established for young journalists and public opinion leaders covering the topics of multi-vector foreign policy, diplomacy, interethnic and interregional harmony, spiritual values, relationships in the multicultural environment of different countries and historical events.
The works will be evaluated by an independent jury of the award, which includes honored figures in the industry, reputable journalists and media professionals.
Based on the results of the award, the winners in each nomination will be awarded a commemorative figurine made of precious metals with the image of a dove and a badge.
As you know, a dove with an olive branch is a symbol of peace, and this symbolism is associated with the global mission of the award, which is to promote the values of humanism, good neighborliness and harmonious coexistence, dialogue of cultures and confessions in multinational Kazakhstan and throughout the world.
The award is organized by the United Charity Projects Evolution Public Foundation and Kazakhstan Journalism Academy.
